Renee or really Grandma, for that is how you are remembered to me. Thank you for the wonderful memories you have given me and my family and allowing us to share your life. You are remembered for your honesty, frankness, fairness and humour. Your small feet and tiny steps. Your hat. Your endless and occasionally repeated stories recounting your life events. Your ability to spend two hours sipping a drink. You doing the can-can and kicking your legs so high in our kitchen. The many card rounds that I so very nearly won-yeah right! The never ending offers for help when visiting, the Rosebud introduction, the interest to try my food and then attempt to replicate it on a spur of the moment. But if ever I wish to smile, I remember you playing your very personal verion of Scategories, very swiftly followed by a quick dash to the toilets from laughing too much!
